This project consisted of excavating and disposing of contaminated soil
and placing 6" area paving, curbs and slag.
This resurfacing project was especially difficult due to the existing
pipe rack that we had to hand excavate and pour concrete under. We also
installed curbs around the existing tanks and pump foundations in order
to contain chemical spills. A new storm sewer system was installed under
the pipe rack as well using cast in place inlets and HDPE piping.
Below are the access ramps that were in stalled on both ends of the tank
farm. A section of the existing retaining wall was removed, while still
maintaining the integrity of the containment area during construction. Also
shown below is the Slag installed on the outside of the paved areas.
