Solutia AN7 Cooling Tower Basin
Baytown, TX

Turnkey construction of a seven basin (450’x55’) cooling tower structure. All excavation, formwork, rebar installation, and concrete placement were self –performed on the project.

Elaborate well pointing-system was used to install 14’ deep sump section of the basin to handle excessive groundwater encountered 4’ below existing grade. Concrete work was installed to the stringent ACI codes applicable to water retaining structures. The work was performed with a strong emphasis on adhering to the plant’s strict safety program.
