Our Project Managers have extensive experience in managing large-scale
industrial and commercial projects. All of our project managers have B.S.
degrees. Their responsibilities include:
- Allocating resources to the project
- Tracking project costs, personnel
and equipment with Microsoft Projects
and Timberline Accounting/Job Costing
Software
- Negotiating requested modifications to the contract
- Leading the preparation of the project
Health and Safety Plans and project Work Plans
- Assisting and supporting all levels of the field
crews in establishing and maintaining an efficient
and safe work environment
Our Project Managers are responsible for the overall health
and safety program on the project. They are responsible for
insuring that subcontractors comply with the health and safety
program and the enforcement of provisions. They will assist with
weekly and daily tailgate meetings and will conduct periodic field
health and safety inspections to ensure that the projects are being
performed according to plan.
Construction Managers and Superintendents are assigned to projects based
upon the size and complexity of the job. Large projects may be assigned
a Construction Manager and two or more Superintendents, while smaller
projects may only be assigned a Superintendent.
The Construction Manager or Superintendent will always be a full-time
site contact with responsibility for onsite resource allocation, material
purchasing, and daily cost tracking. He will be responsible for project
planning to assure all crews work safely and efficiently. Each will direct
the daily tailgate safety meeting to facilitate discussion of each work
area’s daily activity schedule. They will direct the foreman how to train
their crews in safe and healthful working practices. Our Construction
Managers and Superintendents are to stop work to correct hazards that present
a danger to the crew, equipment, or the environment. They are to prepare
accident reports, and complete detailed accident investigations on the proper forms.
It is the responsibility of each employee to know the health and safety rules
and conduct their work accordingly. They shall report any safeguard not
accomplishing its intended function to their supervisor. The employee is to
report all injuries no matter how minor or accidents to their supervisor
immediately. They are to know where the first aid, fire fighting equipment,
and other safety devices are located.
All employees are responsible for documenting any test results, site surveys,
activities, and equipment inspections or calibration on pre-printed data forms.
They are to notify their supervisors of any problems, developments, or issues
that could adversely, or positively, affect project performance with regards
to quality, schedule, budget, or performance.
Subcontractors and their employees are bound by, and to, the same health and
safety requirements and project controls. It is the responsibility of all to
make sure the subcontractors comply with and uphold the Health and Safety Program.
All subcontractors will be required to attend the weekly and daily “tool-box”
safety meetings and report any incidents to the Construction Manager or Superintendent.
